The BC women’s hockey team, ranked #1 in the land, made it an Eagles’ sweep of the Beanpot Tournament, cruising by #6 Northeastern, 7-0, last night. It was the 3d Beanpot crown won by the women in the last four years. The men’s team won the Beanpot the night before, beating BU 1-0.

Now 30-0, the 2015-16 Eagles hold the BC record for consecutive wins and their win streak is the second longest in NCAA history.

Sophomore goaltender Katie Burt gained her second shutout of the Beanpot and her BC record 11th of the season. Senior forward Dana Trivigno had a hat trick in the championship win. Senior Alex Carpenter had an assist on one goal, which tied her for the national lead in scoring.
