One member of the US soccer team competing in this year’s World Cup in Brazil is an Eagle! And a Jersey guy.
Alejandro Bedayo ’08 played his junior and senior seasons for BC, after transferring from Fairleigh Dickinson. Both years at BC, he was all-America and a semifinalist for the Mac Herman award as the nation’s best male college soccer player. He graduated from CSOM.
Born in Englewood, N.J., Alejandro plays for Nantes in the French professional league. His profile for the U.S. men’s national team reports that, “as a huge believer in giving back to the community,” Alejandro volunteers as an English tutor in Nantes. Sounds like an Eagle.
